     As a licensed residential builder and contractor, in the state of Michigan, I am not required to offer a specific warranty to my customers, but, I do. Our warranty covers all the work and products installed by me or any of the trades people working under my hire and supervision. Here is how it reads:

WARRANTY TERMS:

All workmanship has a warranty of one year from the date of completion, that includes any of the work that we perform in the course of our contract with you. All material and products have a like warranty. If different from the manufacturer, we defer to that warranty time period. Specific warranty terms will be spelled out as they apply to each particular project. For instance, some products carry a lifetime warranty. We will provide you, the customer, with copies of any warranty that exceeds our own.

WARRANTY PROCEDURE:

Any defective, damaged, or inadequate item that is covered in one of our contractual projects with you, the customer, shall be taken care of by direct contact with me. As the contractor, I will execute all warranty claims for the period of my warranty.

 WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS:

Some items may not be covered by my warranty, such as, appliances that are purchased directly by you, the customer. These items will be noted in my warranty agreement with you.
